45,000 Barrels Of Bourbon Were Caught On Fire At Jim Beam Warehouse

Tragic. That is what this is.

WKYT in Kentucky reported that a fire had set ablaze two Jim Beam bourbon warehouses around 11:30P on Tuesday night and the casualties that resulted from it were approx. 45,000 barrels of bourbon. CUE THE TEARS. While it has not been confirmed, it is believed that a strike of lightning is what caused the fire, which had flames that were still visible 5 hours after the fire was first reported. Thankfully no one was injured and "the company [Bean Suntory, Jim Beam's parent company] thanked first responders who remain at the scene," according to the original report.
