Wearing Masks Will Be A Requirement In Maryland Retail Stores

During his press conference on April 15, Gov. Larry Hogan said that an wearing masks is something "we may have to become more accustomed to in order to safely reopen our state" and that he will be signing an executive order that will make wearing masks/face shields in retail environments and public transportation mandatory. This order will go into effect on Saturday, April 18 at 7AM.

The past 48 hours have been the deadliest in the state of Maryland since the pandemic began. Maryland has surpassed 10,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and in the past two days have had 87 COVID-19 related deaths.
